Michael W. Blastic OFM Friar of Holy Name Province, NY; visiting professor at Siena College, NY; is making an outstanding contribution to the best understanding of the three volume series of  Early Documents of the life of Saints Francis and Clare of    Assisi. Michael is one of the general editors of the three volumes of Studies in Early Franciscan Sources. His research and publications focus on the Writings of Francis and Clare of Assisi, the Franciscan Hagiographical Tradition, and the early Franciscan Tradition of theology and spirituality. Together with Ingrid Peterson, Rochester OSF, he guided a training seminar on the Early Documents for the Franciscan Institute Forum in Colorado Springs, CO 2002.
